After treatments
The 'Survive to Thrive' workshop is based on the idea that we can't control the events that we often face (like a cancer diagnosis) , but that we have total control over how we react and what we learn from each experience. If you have completed your treatment this workshop could be advantageous.
The Survive to Thrive workshop happens every 8 weeks and is normally conducted at Houchen's Retreat in Houchen's Road, Hamilton.
The workshop itself is facilitated by Dr Kieren Faull (a community psychologist) who developed the workshop with Health Journeys. The workshop lasts over four days with two days running consecutively (eg Monday, Tuesday) with a week break and then two days conecutively. The hours of each day are from 10am to 1pm.
The course has been specifically designed to find the "jewels" in your cancer experience and we only take 5 to 7 participants at a time.
